Joshua Tree Elopement / Winter Wonderland

We met this couple on a very sunny, but very cold day in February. Just the day before was a record breaking snow storm in the high desert and it yielded so much snow. So much - that we took the day off to build snowmen and had snow fight. yes. that much snow.

We took it as a good omen and carried on with our plans - rain snow or shine.

We started off with the couple getting ready at the very cool Zebra Joshua Tree House - its unique architecture visible en route to the park. With a first look done at the house, we carried on to the park after to explore, and for a wedding ceremony.

It was cold. Incredibly cold - but how amazing does Caitlyn look? One of the things we love about an elopement - is that there are no rules, no traditions, and no guide book to follow. These two owned their day, said their vows with their breaths visible in the air, and we roamed the desert.

Much of these photos shown here were shot in film - thanks for the awesome process + scan Photovision! Hair and makeup done by the ever so lovely Nancy Z and her crew, flowers by My Little Flower Shop in Palm Springs.

Since this is our first inaugural post (welcome welcome!) Desert Pop Up is comprised of The Walk Down The Aisle & Matthew David Studio. Enjoy the gallery! xo
